i used to use pidgin back when aim was still popular and would be totally willing to go back to it. that thing was hella useful.

so i installed it just now and for just private messaging it would essentially operate just like it did for aim. joining multiple servers at once would not be ideal imo because it opens a new window for each channel, but for a single rp oriented one, i think it'd be good. there's probably also a way to keep it from opening up windows like that but i only have looked at it a little so far.
