so i play m/m and f/f.

i think i play one popular face? i don't know what your standard for popular faces is, but the groups weren't played much when the psls started. one of my pairs is one where you're never going to see either of the faces in active play, and i got really lucky with that one. we were discussing faces and i asked if they liked this group, and we liked the same pairing. it's one of my favorites.

i used to pick up a lot of lines from the text meme, and i think that's because the muns already feel chemistry there. four of my longest lines are from different memes. not to say all the lines i picked up from the text meme have stuck around, but when it gets going, it's been productive.

honestly it feels like it's luck and throwing out a big net and being flexible and open minded, and not ditching at the first sign that maybe it might not work. i've given pairings and plots that i was on the fence about a try, and one of my long term lines is with someone who flaked on me once.

tl;dr i got lucky.

tbth i read ‘i play m/m’ and was like ‘ohhhh, gotcha.’ m/m is one of the bigger preferences around here (and i say this as a person who mostly plays f in m/f) and people always flock to m faces. it makes a lot more sense now.
