I am open to both! Some ideas I have are:

Non-AU:
- Their groups could have traveled to another country together and they coincidentally run into each other out and about
- Word between idols that one of them has a crush on the other
- One of their members hacks into their KKT and sends a cute or sexy pic to the other person, knowing their member is into that person

AU:
- One person is a VLOGGER for makeup or fashion (or games, lol)
- Modern Day Aladdin
- Darker themes such as Person A is a demon/creature banished to this world but they get attracted to seeing Person B who's a famous idol / celeb on advertisements and billboards
- ABO / Hybrid, Person A isn't used to the city life and Person B helps them adjust
